Year 1 & 2 at Abbotsham C of E Primary are looking at the North Devon Coast. We studied maps of the coast line and looked at the features we could find, using pictures and maps the children built sections of the coast line and we joined them altogether at the end of the day to make a big display for the parents to view.
WW2 Tank building and testing
Yr 3-6 showed great resilience and built amazing motorised tanks to link to their ww2 topic.
The children were able to implement their school values in their learning.
We timed our tanks over a distance of 5 meters, collected the data and did target practice.
Highweek primary school visited the Newton Abbot GWR museum. To start their design and technology topic about bridges we build bridges and trains.

Science week 2023 'connection' At St Michael's Primary school every class from Froglets to Yr 6 took part in our Lego bridge building workshop. Thinking about how bridges connect us to friends and wider connunities.

At Lanesend Primary the Children are learning about Walls. We build walls to protect our selves, to keep people in or out, We build walls because we are afraid. The roman build Hadrain's Wall the Chinese built their Great Wall. The German Democratic Republic built the berlin wall. At Lanesend Primary we were inspired by these walls and we built The Great Lego wall.
At Mawgan in pydar primary the Children were engineers of the day. Yrs 4,5,& 6 Built Trains and bridges. Yrs 1 & 2 build city vehicles with pull back motors. At the after school club the children built electric vehicles.
